Most Popular Pickleball Balls Ranked | Data-Driven Test (2025 Update)

I tested the five most popular outdoor pickleball balls in 2025 including the Life Time LT Pro 48, Franklin X-40, Vulcan VPro Flight, Selkirk Pro S1, and Onix Dura. With as much objective data as possible, I measured power, pop, spin, bounce, and durability to see how each ball stacks up and to help you decide which one is the best fit for your group.

  1. I found the exact opposite of roundness and durability comparison between the x40 and s1: the x40s turn to mushy potatoes in a couple games (in florida) vs my s1s that at least stay round much longer

  2. I’ve been using them for juggling and solo practice (Master of ambidextous pickleball (naturally born left and right-handed)). Check my stuff out, its all AboveGenius brand now though. If the company sent me free stuff, I would do artistic stuff even though pickleball is fun.

This data is important though because speed and pop can look really good on camera. Especially control. You know if you drive it and that part with the LED spins to the side, the ball either curves or flies in a different direction.

  3. The i hate the lt color its harder for me to track and I dont like the way it plays atleast inside. Never played with them outside. But im use to the x40. Thats what we always used as well as thats what was used at the places I played indoors at for 2+ years so maybe theres just a learning curve. The lt doesnt feel like it bounces or carries as far after a bounce
